New Gallup Poll Spells Trouble for GOP Leaders

Conservatives across the country who are frustrated with the failed leadership of the Republican Party are not alone. A new Gallup poll released yesterday shows that only 22% of Americans view Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) favorably. Likewise, only 23% of Americans view House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) favorably.

"Show Vote" on Planned Parenthood

Today, the U.S. Senate will vote to bring up S. 1881, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act, for debate. Unfortunately, this bill won't be signed into law even if it manages to get the 60 votes required to overcome a filibuster. The vote today is a drive-by, show vote.

New Senate Majority Same As Old Senate Majority

Americans elected a Republican majority in the Senate last year because they believed it would be different than the Democratic majority. Unfortunately, they were lied to and the new Senate is the same as the old Senate.
