Twenty-seven Republican challengers ran for the U.S. Senate in 2012, yet only three will be sworn into office in January -- Ted Cruz (R-TX), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), and Deb Fischer (R-NE). All three GOP members of the Senate's freshman class are conservatives and all three were endorsed by the Senate Conservatives Fund.

With just three weeks to go until Nebraska Republicans head to the polls, the Washington establishment has officially hit the panic button. Free-market conservative Don Stenberg is gaining momentum in the race for U.S. Senate and the corporate welfare lobby doesn't like it. Last week, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce endorsed Stenberg's opponent in an effort to stop his surge.
