12 Senate Races to Watch

As we continue our campaign to elect true conservative leaders to the United States Senate, I want to seek your input on the races taking place across the country right now.
The 2012 election cycle is still very young and these contests are still taking shape, but we want to know what you're hearing about the candidates and if you have any favorites.
We recently launched a new "Races" section on our website that includes profiles of each of the 33 contests taking place this cycle. Each profile includes information about the incumbent, the challengers who have formally announced, and related news.
We want these profiles to include the very best information about each race so please
contact us if there are things we should add.
See the 2012 U.S. Senate RacesWe care about each and every one of these races but we need to begin zeroing in on the ones that offer conservatives the greatest pick-up opportunities.
As members of the Senate Conservatives Fund, you know that the most important race may not be taking place in the state where you live. We've shown we can be extremely effective if we each focus our resources on the very best candidates even if they're running in a different part of the country.
My vote in the United States Senate impacts someone in Texas just as much as it impacts someone in South Carolina. If we're going to save our country from the liberals who are destroying it, we have to think bigger and be more strategic in how we approach each election.
That is why we have identified 12 races that offer conservatives the best chances for pick-ups in the upcoming elections. Our Watch List may change as the election matures but these are the contests we believe are the most important right now.

We need to find principled and courageous candidates to support in each of these races.
As you know, the Senate Conservatives Fund only supports proven conservatives. We don't endorse incumbents and we don't support wishy-washy politicians who are Republicans in name only (RINOs). We work to elect new leaders who are committed to join the fight, not the Senate club. In order to win our support, candidates have to pledge to:
- Support and Defend the Constitution
- Oppose all earmarks
- Support the Balanced Budget Amendment
- Repeal ObamaCare
- Stop all tax increases
- Oppose amnesty and secure our borders
- Defend the 2nd Amendment
- Protect the unborn
- Preserve traditional marriage
- Support term limits for Congressmen and Senators
