West Virginia is on our 2012 Watch List because presents conservatives with a major pick-up opportunity. Incumbent Democrat Joe Manchin is extremely vulnerable. Manchin narrowly won the special election in 2010 to complete the term of the late Senator Robert Byrd. He's now running for re-election in a state President Obama lost in 2008 by 13 percentage points.
