SCF Congratulates Andy Biggs in Arizona

Saturday, September 3, 2016

Alexandria, VA – Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) President Ken Cuccinelli, made the following statement after conservative Andy Biggs won the Republican primary election in Arizona’s 5th Congressional District:

“Andy Biggs is a principled leader who will fight to balance the budget, fully repeal Obamacare, and stand up to the liberals in both parties. We congratulate him on this important win. He wasn’t the GOP establishment’s pick, but he ran on conservative principles and won. It’s another victory for the grassroots.

“Given how close this race was, there will now be an automatic recount. We will continue to support Andy Biggs during this process and into the general election once the primary election results have been confirmed.”

SCF is now supporting two U.S. Senate candidates who have won their primary elections – U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) and retired Air Force Lt. Col. Darryl Glenn (R-CO) – and six U.S. House candidates who have won their primary elections – Congressman Warren Davidson (R-OH), Congressman Jim Bridenstine (R-OK), state senator Jim Banks (R-IN), businessman Ted Budd (R-NC), Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ), and state senator Andy Biggs (R-AZ).

Senate Conservatives Fund is a national, grassroots organization that promotes conservative policies and helps elect conservative candidates.
