Green New Deal Crashes

Thursday, March 28, 2019

The vote on the ultra-liberal “Green New Deal” failed miserably in the Senate yesterday when not even a single Democrat had the courage to vote in favor of it.

Forty-three Democrats voted “present” arguing that the bill sponsored by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) never got a hearing, a standard they rarely hold when voting on other liberal priorities.

But the Democrats weren’t the only ones in the Senate lacking courage yesterday.

After the Justice Department announced its approval of a federal court ruling that would eliminate Obamacare, some Republicans criticized President Trump’s renewed fight for health care freedom.

“I thought it was bad enough when last year they wouldn’t defend parts of the law,” Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) said. “This goes far beyond that and I think was a huge mistake.”

It’s not a mistake. Obamacare has done serious damage to our health care system and it’s time for all Republicans to stand with President Trump and keep their promise to end it.

TAKE ACTION

As we approach the end of the first quarter, we must all renew our efforts to elect strong, principled conservatives to the United States Senate – leaders who will keep their word and fight every day for less government and more freedom for all Americans.

Please make a contribution to help us build a conservative Senate and support President Trump.

There are only a few days left before the deadline at the end of the month so please take action right now.

We need Republicans in the Senate who will do more than just oppose the Democrats’ outrageous ideas. We need leaders who will truly fight for conservative policies.

That is what SCF is fighting for.

We’re not controlled by or affiliated with the DC swamp. We’re a grassroots-driven organization that gives hardworking Americans the tools to defeat the liberal establishment.

Please help us by making a contribution today.

Thank you for being part of our team and for doing so much to fight for conservative leadership in Washington.
