Biggs Wins GOP Primary Recount

Monday, September 19, 2016

We have good news to report.

State Senator Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has won the recount in the Republican primary election for Congress in Arizona’s 5th district.

Biggs initially won the primary with 9 votes, but then saw his lead expand to 16 votes after a county judge ordered the inclusion of additional ballots. Then, following a recount this week, Biggs’s lead grew again to 27 votes.

Shortly after the recount was complete, his primary opponent, Christine Jones, called him and conceded the race.

We are extremely grateful to all of our members who supported Andy Biggs during the primary and supported his recount fund over the past two weeks.

Without this support, he would not have won this race and would not have been able to defend this victory for conservatives.

Thank you for your support. Together, we will change Washington by changing the people we send there.
