Don’t Let Senate Democrats Bounce Back
Friday, December 2, 2016Democrats in Washington are in disarray. They suffered major losses in the 2016 elections and their bench of candidates is pretty thin.
But they are going to try to fight their way back. They always do!
Democrats were in a similar spot in 2004 after losing the White House and both the House and the Senate. But they regrouped and scored big wins in 2006 and 2008 with the help of the media.
Now they’re going to try to do it again.
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has already vowed to defeat the effort to repeal Obamacare and he’s already launched a new line of attack on Republicans for what he calls their “war on seniors.”
We can’t sit on our hands and let these liberals make a comeback. We need to go on offense right now to soften their opposition to our reforms and to make sure they suffer major losses again in 2018.
That’s why we are beginning an early action effort to defeat a targeted group of vulnerable Senate Democrats.
We used this approach against former Senator Mark Pryor (D-AR) in 2013 with great success. Our media campaign solidified opposition to his re-election early in the cycle, which he was never able to reverse.
It also put him on defense and forced him to move to the right on many issues in a futile attempt to portray himself as a centrist.
There are twelve vulnerable Senate Democrats who could lose in 2018, but we need to act now to recruit true conservative challengers and to educate voters in their states about their liberal records.
In this group, these five senators are running in states that Donald Trump won this year by double-digits:
- Joe Manchin (D-WV)
- Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND)
- Jon Tester (D-MT)
- Joe Donnelly (D-IN)
- Claire McCaskill (D-MO)
These Democrats are extremely vulnerable and we can’t allow them to trick voters into thinking they’re moderates. They are not!
They all have “F” grades from Conservative Review, and they all have voted to increase the debt limit, to grant instant amnesty to illegal immigrants, and to fund Obamacare and Planned Parenthood.
