Senate Conservatives Fund Endorses Josh Mandel for U.S. Senate in Ohio

Wednesday, December 7, 2016

Alexandria, VA – Today, Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) enthusiastically endorsed Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel (R-OH) for U.S. Senate in Ohio.

“Josh Mandel is the kind of conservative leader that we need in the U.S. Senate, and the Senate Conservatives Fund is proud to enthusiastically back his bid to unseat Senator Sherrod Brown in Ohio,” said SCF President Ken Cuccinelli. “This matchup pits a relic of the Obama-Clinton era who has a liberal 40-year career of being out of touch with Ohio against a next generation conservative leader who shares our vision for restoring America’s greatness.”

Josh is a Marine Corps veteran who served two tours in Iraq. He has a long record as a principled conservative fighter, including demonstrating the courage to support a constitutional amendment to balance the federal budget without raising taxes, a record of fighting to repeal Obamacare, support for enforcement of immigration laws, a strong Second Amendment record, and consistent support of traditional family values.

“Josh Mandel is a fighter and has the conservative record, grassroots network, and winning message that it will take to flip this seat from Democrat to Republican. SCF is proud to endorse him over any potential primary rival, and strongly believes that he will prevail and strengthen the Senate’s ability to implement a conservative agenda for America in the future.”

ABOUT SCF

Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) is a national grassroots organization that seeks to bring bold conservative leadership to Washington by supporting candidates who will fight for the timeless conservative principles of limited government, strong national defense, and traditional family values. SCF does not endorse a candidate in every Senate race. Instead, it focuses its efforts on the best candidates nationwide. To win SCF’s endorsement, a candidate must be a true conservative, have strong grassroots support, and be able to execute a winning campaign.

SCF helps candidates by bundling contributions for them from thousands of freedom-loving Americans across the country, and by running hard-hitting radio and television ads to promote their conservative campaigns. SCF is not funded by special interests in Washington, it is funded by the grassroots with an average contribution amount of just $45.
