Obamacare Update

It appears that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is about to break his promise to repeal Obamacare.

Reports indicate that he has abandoned repeal and is now working to placate moderate Republican senators by keeping Obamacare’s premium-spiking mandates, keeping Obamacare’s taxes, keeping Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion, and possibly even allowing for taxpayer money to be used for abortion.

If Senator McConnell fails to repeal Obamacare after using the promise to win numerous elections over the past seven years, it will be the biggest political betrayal we have ever seen.

This law has done irreparable harm to American families and millions have cast their votes for Republicans believing they would, in Senator McConnell’s words, rip it out “root and branch.”

Tell them to keep their word.

Many conservatives are rightfully concerned that Senator McConnell is going to write a liberal bill that he knows conservatives will oppose so he can blame them for killing repeal. It’s typical McConnell. He always finds a way to blame conservatives for his own failures.

There is no reason why Senate Republicans can’t repeal Obamacare with 51 votes under budget reconciliation other than the simple fact that many of them don’t want to. These Republicans lied to the voters to get elected and now they’re making excuses.
