Mandel Running Strong In Ohio

I wanted to share some good news regarding State Treasurer Josh Mandel (R-OH), our endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate in Ohio.

The latest PPD Buckeye State Battleground Poll shows Mandel expanding his lead over liberal incumbent Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in one of the most important Senate races in the country.

The survey shows Mandel leading Brown by 8 points, 50% to 42%, which is roughly the same margin that President Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by in Ohio last year.

“It is extremely bad news for any incumbent to be trailing his challenger by this much, this early, let alone one who is now polling at 50%,” said Richard Baris, head of the PPD Poll and Election Projection Model. “We have a long way to go before the 2018 midterm elections, but if Sen. Brown doesn’t do something to turn this around, he’s going to lose this rematch.”

This is great news for conservatives, but we know that Sherrod Brown and his liberal allies are going to dump millions into Ohio to save him so we must keep pushing to help Mandel raise money.
